The CEO's Canyon

I was chatting with a CEO recently, and she shared that work felt like walking along the bottom of a canyon.

The walls are high, you can't really see much daylight. There may seem to be an open path in front of you, but it ultimately doesn't ever lead to the top. It just sort of... goes on.

That's a tough place to be. And I know that many other leaders and team members are feeling the same way. A long journey ahead without much hope of gaining any elevation.

No blazing insights today other than: if you are feeling this way, be encouraged that you're not the only one. And believe that although they may not be apparent immediately, there are indeed many, many paths that lead to the top!
