The Joy of Selfless Connection

Sometimes I connect with people who are looking for an advantage. "How can I come out on top of this relationship? How do I make sure I get value for myself?"

Other times (and usually) I connect with people who are eager to selflessly help, without any guarantee of direct payback. Gifting their time, giving helpful advice, asking good questions, and making strategic introductions.

One might argue that the first group are just astute business people, who value their own time. And it's hard to even disagree with that. But I can certainly tell you which group I'd rather spend time with!

Today I had such a meeting, and it was a joy.
